IndexNu

Bookkeeping automated. Invoicing · Mollie · VAT returns. Multi-tenant.

IndexNu Bookkeeping SaaS for freelancers and SMBs
In short

IndexNu automates bookkeeping for freelancers and SMEs in a multi-tenant SaaS platform. Invoicing, payments via Mollie and VAT returns run as one continuous flow, so entrepreneurs do less manual work and their figures stay current. It runs in production as a fintech solution for growing administrations.

Not just client work. Our own products too.

— CHALLENGE

The challenge at IndexNu.

Freelancers and small businesses lose too much time on admin that should not take time at all. Drafting invoices by hand, chasing payments and assembling the VAT return every quarter pulls them away from their actual work and introduces errors. IndexNu asked for an accounting SaaS that takes over that entire cycle for many entrepreneurs at once.

The heart of the brief was automation without requiring the user to understand bookkeeping. And because the platform serves many clients side by side, each entrepreneur's financial data had to stay strictly separated from the rest.

— APPROACH

Our approach.

We built IndexNu as a multi-tenant platform: every entrepreneur works in their own isolated environment on shared infrastructure. The backend runs on Laravel with Filament for administration, the stack we deliver on daily.

Invoicing was automated end to end, with Mollie as the payment integration so that payment requests and collections land directly in the books. We built the VAT return as a derivative of the recorded transactions, so the quarterly overview fills itself instead of being assembled by hand. Tenant separation was baked in from the first line of code, never bolted on afterwards.

— OUTCOME

What it delivered.

IndexNu runs in production as an accounting SaaS for freelancers and small businesses. The bookkeeping is largely automated: invoices, Mollie payments and the VAT return all flow through the same chain, which means less manual work and fewer transcription errors for the entrepreneur.

Thanks to the multi-tenant setup, a single platform serves many entrepreneurs in parallel, with data kept separate per client. That makes IndexNu scalable: new users onboard onto the same codebase without needing a separate installation per customer.
