Not just client work. Our own products too.

— CHALLENGE

The challenge at Immersive Connect.

Care provider Immersive wanted to bring wellbeing, sport and day activities together in one digital place for clients and their support workers. In practice everything was scattered: activities were planned separately, progress lived in loose lists, and clients lacked a clear view of what they could do that day. The brief was specific. Build an accessible app that runs on any device, without an app store, and lets support workers calmly manage what clients see. For a vulnerable healthcare audience, simplicity and accessibility mattered more than a thick feature set.

— APPROACH

Our approach.

We chose a PWA so the app installs straight from the browser, with no distribution hassle. The client side runs on Next.js, built around large buttons, plain language and dependable behaviour on phones and tablets. Behind it sits a Laravel backend with a Filament admin panel where support workers maintain activities, programmes and participants.

We worked in phases: first the foundation and data models for wellbeing, sport and day activities, then the client experience per module. That kept each release testable and the scope under control, without disrupting day-to-day care.

— OUTCOME

What it delivered.

The PWA is live and sits at around 70 percent of its planned scope. The core works: support workers manage wellbeing, sport and day activities centrally in Filament, and clients see their programme in an installable app that opens reliably on any device.

Because we built in phases, the care organisation can already review and steer while the remaining modules are finished. The Laravel and Next.js foundation leaves room to extend further without giving up the accessible, calm setup the audience needs.
