The challenge at Mahallem.
Local communities organise themselves in scattered ways today: WhatsApp groups, Facebook, the occasional chat. None of it belongs to the neighbourhood itself, the data drifts off to large platforms, and newcomers fall away because there is no fixed place to land. Mahallem wanted to put a real neighbourhood network in its place, a home per community where people find each other, ask for help and share initiatives.
The request was not a single app for one district, but a foundation that rolls out per city. Every community needed its own space, strictly separated from the rest, without rebuilding from scratch for each neighbourhood.
