In short

HuurrechtHulp handles 200+ rental checks per week on a multilingual advice platform in 11 languages. — CHALLENGE

The challenge at HuurrechtHulp.

Tenants in the Netherlands rarely know whether their rent is legally justified. The WWS points system is technical, and the people hit hardest, labour migrants and expats, run into a Dutch-only process full of jargon. HuurrechtHulp wanted a platform where a tenant could check, in their own language and within minutes, whether they are being overcharged.

The brief: make rental law accessible, trustworthy and genuinely usable for an international audience, and turn that into a steady flow of qualified advice requests.

— APPROACH

Our approach.

We built the site on Next.js 16 with Tailwind v4 and next-intl across eleven languages, including full right-to-left support for Arabic. The core is a free rent check as the lead magnet: the user searches an address and we connect live to PDOK Locatieserver, BAG and the Kadaster to pull surface area, construction year and WOZ value.

From that data the tool calculates the WWS points and the legal maximum rent. No manual entry, no guesswork: the official registries are authoritative. Each language has its own content, hreflang and sitemap, so every audience can find the site.

— OUTCOME

What it delivered.

HuurrechtHulp now runs live with more than 200 rent checks per week. Every check is an immediately qualified lead: the tenant learns whether there is a problem and what the next step could be. The link to PDOK, Kadaster and BAG keeps the result verifiable and objective, which builds trust in the advice that follows.

The eleven languages reach exactly the tenants who would otherwise stay invisible. The advice request lands at the moment doubt is highest, right after the check result appears.
