De Vliegende Hamer

Contractor since 2003. Full renovation in The Hague and South Holland · own crew · itemised quotes by post.

De Vliegende Hamer Contractor and full renovation, South Holland
In short

De Vliegende Hamer is a contractor in The Hague carrying out full renovations with its own crew since 2003. We built the site on Next.js around two concrete promises: an itemised quote by post and extra work only after written approval. A page per service for local visibility, own photography rather than stock imagery.

CHALLENGE

The challenge at De Vliegende Hamer.

De Vliegende Hamer has been a contractor in The Hague since 2003, carrying out full renovations with its own crew. The work was there and so was the reputation, but little of it showed online. Anyone searching for a contractor in the region tended to land on parties with less to offer but better visibility.

There was a second issue. In the renovation market distrust is the default: clients fear extra work that only surfaces afterwards, and quotes showing a single figure without explanation. The site had to remove that objection before someone calls, not after.

APPROACH

Our approach.

We built the site around two promises the company already kept: an itemised quote by post, so you see what each part costs, and extra work only after you have seen it on paper. Both sit above the fold, because that is exactly where the hesitation lives.

Beyond that, a structure matched to how people search: a page per service rather than one catch-all, plus a knowledge section for the questions that come up beforehand. The figures the company genuinely has, including 254 completed projects and one point of contact per project, appear as hard numbers rather than claims.

The site runs on Next.js with the crew's own photography, not stock imagery of smiling people in hard hats.

OUTCOME

What it delivered.

De Vliegende Hamer now appears online the way the company actually works: concrete, with the terms stated up front. Visitors see within one screen what is done, in which area, and how the quote works.

The site is live at devliegendehamer.nl and passed the full internal quality gate on delivery, with green Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop.
